Title: Lighting in Hardtop 225 EX
Post by: jdevoid on March 27, 2010, 06:03:32 PM
I am wondering if anyone here has redone the lighting in their hardtop? As in replace the factory courtesy light, with the white plastic cover, for a cool LED setup. Since the wiring is already there and the factory hole too- a nice LED and Clear plastic cover might be a hit.

Anyone

I will try!

Replacing the white cover with a clear plastic cover will be easy enough.
I could just replace the festoon bulbs with LED colored bulbs. Or I could replace the factory setup for a tailor made LED light. I found some ideas on Superbrightleds.com
It appears the have a tracking LED system in 3" sections- This project doesn't have my full attention just yet. The good thing is I can still launch the boat and worry about this during the season.

BTW-  Anyone know of a good cheap site for LED's?  Superbrightleds.com are much cheaper than Westmarine-  like 1/3 of the price!
