Does anyone have the Transom Seats on their Explorer? I am needing some additional seating on my 225 when we are just out cruising. Are the transom seats comfortable? Do they fold out of the way to give you access to the battery door and the transom door? How do they attach? If anyone has some detailed pics of them installed, that would be great. I saw a couple brochure pics, but they were too small to see the details I was looking for.
Instead of the transom seats, does anyone use deck chairs in the back corner of their boats? Since they aren't bolted down, are they stable when you hit 3' waves or so?
Thanks!

Yeah, my wife and her friends don't like to ride out on the bean bags. If I keep them happy, it makes life on the boat that much better.

There are two stainless cups for each seat that are attached to the inside of the boat. You plug the seats into the cups and secure with a pin. The legs fold down from the bottom of the seat to contact the floor of the boat. Each seat base is made from I assume high density plastic. All of the legs are stainless and a seat cushion is attached to the base with snaps. Seat has cup holders built in. Seat folds up if you take it out of the cups and can be stored. I have two seats for my 250 Explorer that I believe have never been used. I don't need the seats because I use the boat primarily to fish and I try to keep as much room open for that.
