Post by: Rodthepinfish on June 11, 2009, 09:09:02 PM
I am proping out my boat, 1968/2008 22.2 Flatback w/ 175 Optimax 2008, 10" setback w/ jackplate. I have not found the right prop yet. anybody with similar boat/motor that has any good prop ideas. Pitch/Blades/Make. Thanks Rod

Rod - I cannot help with pitch because I am running a Suzi (they run lower gear ration, and swing a huge prop) but I CAN tell you I recommend a four blade.  I have driven a few different boats, and tried some props on mine... the best I have used is Powertech - it grips great and does not blow out in turns as much.  As you know, FBs are prone to sliding, and this prop helps.
