I am looking at a near mint condition 1999 Aquasport 175 on galvanized trailer with a 90 hp, price is $8,000.00. Is this a good price? The NADA book is shows values that are less than that but the guy is firm. Does anyone go by the NADA book?
Is this model boat and year considered well made or are the 80s boats better?

Myself, its too much. In this economy there have got to be better deals. Rickk posts on AS on ebay, so check those threads. I think that guy in panama city had a decent deal and he sounded like he wanted to move it

Agreed. There ARE a lot of better deals out there on similar boats newer than 99'.

Remember that it's worth what someone is willing to pay. If it is in pristine condition with 100 hrs on the engine then it might be worth it - it's only 10 years old.
Ditto on what they said.

I would say that is a little high. I search craigslist almost daily down here in the Tampa area and have seen a few 1999 175's that looked in great condition for between 6,000-7,000 dollars. As said above, in this economy it is a buyers market so you should be able to find a good deal.

Sounds like a lot, but how are other prices in your area? I bought a 99 low hour 175 with a 90 Evinrude 6 months ago for $4500.00 and have spent maybe $350.00 on it since. She runs great and is in excellent condition.
NADA is just a guide for boats just as it is for cars.

Try this link for photos of my 1999 AS osprey. This is the one I paid $4500 for in Sept. 08. I've put about $350.00 to $400.00 in it since then.
There's also a couple of shots of the 1990 I sold when I got the 1999.
