Title: Mercury Optimax Smartcraft Gauges

OK folks I need your help. Does anyone have a 200, 225, or 250 Optimax 2000 to 2002 model year engine? I bought a 2000 225 Optimax (Smartcraft Ready) and am going to install the correct smartcraft gauges. Problem is, I don't see where to connect the CAN bus cable. Mercury says mine uses the CAN bus cable but I just don't see where to connect it. There is also supposed to be a non-CAN connection in models without the CAN connector. If anyone has one of these motors, could you email me a pic or two of your motor connections, even if you don't have smartcraft installed.

Thanks, but been there too many times trying to get info. They only list/support current product. 2000 to 2002 are the ba$tard years. Anything after that is new/current stuff. The local Mercury Sales and Service reps are both "friends of friends" so I may just take some time and see what they say. Just sucks Mercury Support says something different from what I actually have and this is based off the serial number.
