I would like to suggest an ongoing thread to try to pull together materials related to older Aquasports. As you may know, Aquasport has recently posted a selection of scanned brochures from some models, but only back to 1993. Anyone who has access to materials, please post.
I personally have a 1982 22.2 with a 200 HP Mariner - berthed in Porto Santo Stefano, about 100 miles north of Rome, Italy. Anyone with materials specific to this model would make my day!

I think that's a great idea.
Love to see some pictures of an Aquasport in Italy. Is that near Cinque Terra?
-
Porto Santo Stefano is about two-hours drive north of Rome. Cinque Terre is near Genoa - about 4 1/2 hours north of Rome.
I have no place to post photos at the moment (I will work on that), but if you send me an email address, I wil be happy to send you some jpgs directly.

I suggested that on another tread. See the History thread in this same section. I would love to see some. Anyone?

Wilson if he sends them to you will you post for us all???? :D
-
Sure. We will get them up. It probably wouldn't be me myself, but they would get on the site for sure. I would think that the best way would be to scan and email, but I don't know. Thay way you could retain the documents. Digital pixs may be another option
I think the best thing would be to post what you have first. We will let everyone know how to get them to us.
This would be great to get stuff up.

Just to keep you all in the loop, yesterday I spoke with the public library and the chamber of commerce in Hialeah, Florida (where Aquasport used to be located). People were pretty nice but I don't know how much they are going to be able to come up with. In any case, if you are curious, the street location of Aquasport in 1988 was the following:
Aquasport, Inc.
7925 W. 2nd Court
Hialeah, Fl 33014
At that time, they had 120 male and 20 female employees.
Cheers
