I have an 1989 evinrude 88 spl what is considered good compression
-
Rather than a specific reading, the most importaint is to have similar compression in all cylinders.
-
What is the easiest way to test compression?

It's a video by the Marine Doctor on how to check compression and spark.
You might want to add the Marine Doctor website into your favorites list, he is a great resource for engine help.
