I've found a 222 centerconsole inboard are these common. Are they worth anything?
-
They were rare and highly valued for deeper-water use. As with any boat, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay...
The inboard model with the engine under the console was just so - cool! It has advanages today in being very fuel efficient and still perform well.
Aquasport inboards were few and far between, but have proven thenselves many times as tenders and offshore fishing vessels with great seaworthyness and capability.

I have one and love it. Only downside is the shaft/prop/rudder are vulnerable to damage if you ground the boat or hit something submerged. Original power (I believe) was a small block Ford V8. Mine has a Chrysler 318. Please post some pictures if available.

Woh! Jim - you're back!

Alive & kicking. Sometimes it's good for me to push back from the table for a bit.
The 22-2 inboard, for me, is just right. Engine is accessible & cheap to replace if it packs it in ($2000 will buy a rebuilt engine with gear) Also, it's located in the sweet spot where the weight should be. Mine has a dozy deck but that project will be held off 'til the 240 is done.
Concerning worth, if the boat is cosmetically "challenged" but is otherwise structurally sound & usable, in this market $2500 might be a fair price... possibly less. Again, if you post some pictures maybe the group here can toss some opinions your way.

Glad to see you back from that short vacation Jim 8)
We've had a few questions on inboards since you took a break that could have used your experience.
Try not to be gone so long next time buddy
You too Miquel - this site's supposed to give you that time to relax and be low-key
