i might be able to get my hands on a rell cheap 19-6. the guy want 1500 for it and its mine. but i know i would have to replace the transom but if i did i have a delema because i want to close in the transom and put a bracket on. but my only question is has anybody ever done this before on a 19-6. if you have can you post some pics so i can see what it looks like.

Just be careful because it makes the boat really stern heavy and then the hole shot will be no good unless you get trim tabs.  Use this little rule.  For every 6 inches you go back you add 1/2 the weight of the motor.  So for a 325lb 115, it would really be 162.5 more pounds to the weight of the motor.  12 inches, a full 325 lbs.

That's a wicked formula   - especially of you're not prepared to hear it.

Good stuff.
