Your boat is mighty fine looking :!: :!:
What year hull did you start out with? Is it a 222?
What is the unique shaped under deck well? Fish box?
I couldn't tell by the pix, does the door have steps on it? Looks like it folds outward but never saw a pix with it in that position.
Anyway, very nicely done.

Thanks, been working on it since April. It is a 76 22-2 center console. Will be done by end of week! Yes, that is an insulated fish box. The door is able to flip down into a step and is also removable so I can drag in the big ones. I have 5 kids so I have to make it family friendly as well (or my wife will not let me use it) My kids miss me, been working on it 24-7 in the front yard. Will add more pics as all the "little details" are finished. I have 4 55watt halogen thru-hull lights, baitwell with sink, full accessories, and even a leader dispenser to make fishing easier. Tower is getting mist system for hot days fishing, has a small cabin for the kids w/a dual fan system for air circ. I will take detailed pics and post. Any questions and comments are appreciated!

well done! i like the door idea a lot.

Do you feel that you lost any strength cutting that door in? I guess your latches lock the door in and give some stiffness - how did you compensate for the continuous strength that you interupted?

That is one gorgeous, head-turning boat!!!
Hat's off to you for the incredible job... I have to believe this isn't your first project. Engineering that door must have been a bear but the final result looks factory. Even better than factory.

Very tricked out, and i like the color a lot
Clearly you have some experience with fiberglass. Im just curious, How did you reinforce the door cut out? Also, how did you build the transom to compensate for the leveraged weight of the left/bracket ?
