Title: 140 HP Suzuki on my 91 175
Post by: Rschede on October 01, 2024, 04:17:46 PM
I have the opportunity to get an incredible deal on a 2018 Suzuki 140 hp 4 stroke. I know the boat is rated for 120 hp but the Suzuki is only 99 pounds heavier. Has anyone tried a 140 on a 175 before?

Not sure what engine you have on there currently. You can tell, depending on your weight, by walking to the aft of the boat and watching the scuppers. You could also use 90lbs of sandbags and set them on top of the cowling, if you have an engine that weighs the same as you're comparing it to.

Moving the batteries towards the front might offset some of the difference.
