Title: Re-powering 2000 215 aqua sport explorer
Post by: jbelboda on September 06, 2023, 07:46:19 PM
Good day,
I want to re-power my 2000 aqua sport 215 explorer. What’s the biggest engine I can put on it. I was leaning towards a Yamaha 250 4-stroke! Any thoughts?

You can fill up some sand bags (we have plenty in FL right now) and stack them on top of the existing engine until you get to weight of the new motor, then take a look at how it sits in the water. Then add 2 of your beefy buddies in the aft, as in fishing, and see how it sits now.
