Title: Fishbox pumpout where is the pump?
Post by: TopherMichael on August 22, 2020, 04:17:28 PM
My '99 175 has a switch on the dash "Fishbox Pumpout", however nothing happens when toggling the switch.

What is the fishbox and did the boat come with a pump connected to this switch from the factory?

98 catalog shows an insulated fishbox with pump out (#2 in lower left of photo).

You can see the access plate in the bottom of the box. I would guess that if you have a pump, it would be located under that plate.

Found the pump and several other items. Appears that a previous owner used that cavity as a storage area for flares, water bottles, sun tan loation and bug spray. God knows how long any of that stuff was sitting for yuck!
