We'll be following and helping where we can.
If you want to post a pic when you talk about your boat, which you should, follow the instructions here http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=12725.0 - don't attach them - you are limited by file size. Uploading them into your "member gallery" is better for viewing.
Spend a few minutes to absorb the instructions. It's really easy. Remember if using a phone to take pics, to hold the phone horizontal with the lens to the left.

Not a bad deal! :) Lets see some more photos of the outside! :)

Starting a 22-2 rebuild. Not sure what year. 1968-69 I believe.
-
Ok Matt, I merged your two threads so you don't have to keep updating both. Post all progress and questions in this thread please.
-
You got it. Thanks Rick!
-
And then I moved it into the right sub forum - you should be good to go now.

Did you find any plastic plates in the boat , maybe on the console or on the inside of the transom?
Like this maybe? (http://www.classicaquasport.com/gallery/data//500/2012-07-26_13-43-26_195.jpg)

Not clear

Matt - The proper way to take a pic for a web site is to hold the phone with the phone horizontal with the camera lens to the left. Left handed people typically hold the phone opposite since their left hand is the touch to take the pic. Unfortunately websites display that pic upside down.
If you upload the pics to your free member gallery here, you don't need to size them, the gallery will size them properly for you. Follow instructions here http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=12725.0

Transom and stringers
-
Stringers . Looks like i can cut tabbing of rest of stringers and save them. Fiberglass tabbing in between the stringers delaminated from hull. Should i support boat before any more demolition?
-
Free?! You're ahead of the game already. If you want to bail out before you get too far I'll give you $100 for it. :nSalute:
If you plan to take the stringers out then now would be the time to support it. If your plan is to just tab them back down one at a time then you should be ok with it on the trailer.
-
Free. Only way I will be able to have a boat. Money will go towards engine. Not tabbing in. Removing stringers and saving. Remove old water logged foam . Layer of glass then put stringers back with new foam.
-
Cool. Yeah, I would definitely get some support under that hull before you get much further. And take a lot of measurements. The stringers are the backbone of the boat and it will flex a lot once they are out. If you're not careful you could end up locking in a bad twist or hook in the hull when you put them back down which will cause a lot of problems.

Has anyone put a larger helm console on their 22-2 flatback? I would like a head compartment. Thinking of stretching helm forwards and leaving floor cut out for head? Any ideas? Small cuddy cabin?
-
Usually it's the other way around, they make it smaller to make it easier to get by or to fit it under a tower.
Maybe make a dodger and put a porta potty in it?
-
Dodgers are nice. Also thinking of more seating on a longer console.
