Well I went out on Saturday and got skunked. Lots of Gannets and bait but no hits. I fished for about 4 hours. I did see a shark chasing a seal. Very exciting. The seal came up against my boat and scared the shite outta me. It then took off and seconds later I saw the dorsel fin.
It was my last trip.
I sold the boat to a buddy of mine that lives in Florida and it's being pulled next weekend. He and I grew up together and both had always wanted a '73 222. I'm happy to pass this on to capable hands. He knows about this site and plans on a complete rebuild.
I'm flying out to Arizona next month for a job interview and should be moving within 30 days. I'll go back to motorcycles.
I'd like to thank everyone for this site. It has been great.

Take care TailGunner - don't be a stranger, you're grandfathered in

Good luck Tailgunner. I enjoyed reading about your boat and what you had done to fashion both a console and a leaning post and even the transom reinforcement that the previous owner had put on. I wish you the best of luck and do hope that someday you will acquire another Aquasport.

Thanks to everyone on this site. It is well run and your participation makes it all worthwhile.
Just pulled the boat. Ocean was like glass and I did 36mph on my way to the ramp. It was cold but I was smiling.
It was sad to see her drive away but I know she'll be in great hands. The new owner plans on a complete rebuild. It's what he does for a living.

I lived in Sierra Vista, AZ for 5 years while in the military - I missed the water, I'm sure you will too. One good thing is it doesn't get all that cold there :D
Good luck and take it one day at a time 8)

I lived in Tucson for almost 15 years. Never missed the water really. I took up motorcycles and that filled the void. I'll be doing that again. Just don't tell the wife.

Good luck & happy trails on the motorcycle!
