Title: 22-2 1985 CCP Steering Bracket
Post by: heatherwood11 on January 27, 2017, 08:02:08 PM
Just checking to see if anyone might be parting out an 80's model CCP?  I have a 1985 222 CCP and the steering ARM that connects to the motor has a wallowed out hole that the nut and bolt go through...it causes the nut and bolt to come loose (even after replacing the old nut and bolt)...and has caused some dangerous situations while under power.   While trimmed up, it puts an odd torque on the arm and the bolt comes loose.  Just re-powered with a 200 Yamaha and need some reliable steering.  Sounds like a total steering mechanism replacement will be very expensive.  Thanks for your help/thoughts.  Jason

Not sure of the terminology your using, but I think you will find this to be more of a rigging/motor item than an aquasport specific item.

Yes, it is definitely a part of the steering/rigging that was installed on the '85 222 CCP.  Was just wandering if anyone was parting theirs out.
Thanks,  Jason

Several options available , doesn't have to be from an 85 aquasport

How about a pic or two of this "rigging"

Thanks.

I think I have the Hynautic original arm that came on my CCP.  PM a pic of your setup to me, and if it matches and I can find it, I would be happy to give it to you!
