He's a big boy and arriving at a high tide :91: Reports are saying that the eye wall is anywhere from 5-26 miles from shore with sustained winds at 104mph. There is an 11 foot storm surge and some 14 foot waves along the coast, 32 foot waves farther off  The east coast is not going to be the same after this.
I know we have some members in the proximity of where he is right now - long time member Pete, who lives in Palm Bay - hope you and your family are safe.

Another long time member - Farley (fitz7322), you're feeling it now too in Palm Coast- hope you have everything battened down and you and your family are safe. It's supposed to slide even closer to the coast in your area.

Hope everyone is smart and have evacuated where required - stay safe.

It's a real mess now in eastern NC! :titantic1: Flooding everywhere, 20 deaths (mostly people in vehicles caught in flood waters), and rivers are cresting today. Propane tank farms have water over the fence, so the propane tanks are floating away until they hit something.
Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base is mostly flooded - but that does not stop the 4th Fighter Wing jet jockeys from doing their mission:
