Looks great :nSalute:
325 lbs is about max on these older 170 before the scuppers go under. What does the new 115 weigh?
-
Hey Rick sorry for posting in the wrong area Mercury weighs 369 lb I was afraid that it was going to be too heavy
-
Welcome aboard!
Nice looking 170 you have there. It's hard to tell if you have a set of ball scuppers by the pics. If not a set of TH Marine ball scuppers help a bunch. I have a set on my 170. I had a set of the smart tabs on my 200xf aquasport. I really liked them. I had the upper mount that allowed you to retract them.
-
No ball scuppers ,il give them a try though, this Wednesday I'll take her for first run with new motor, hopefully she won't sink :16:
Worst case I might have to trade up for 19 and keep the same motor but I think she'll be OK...does anyone here know where I can find Bow Railing?
-
Put plugs in the scuppers until you know what is going to happen.

Thank you everyone for your help. Some more photos I also have set of smart tabs I'm hoping they will help

Definitely don't fill the baitwell until you run it for a while and see how she sits and acts coming off plane (slowly at first). You may need to relocate the baitwell.
-
Thanks Rick I appreciate it I wish I bought a different leaning post this one seems tall and has no backrest Rick would you know where I could get Bow railing?
-
I think you can cut the legs down? Not sure how to fix the backrest problem.
I also think I answered you in a different thread about checking with Marine Surplus in Bradenton for railing.
-
There is a member here that might have one for me if not I'll check them out thanks again
