Title: Repowering 1972 Aquasport 19'6...Max weight transom can hold?
Post by: classic19'6 on April 07, 2016, 10:00:11 PM
Looking to repower a 1972 Aqua 19'6. It has the original 20" transom which is solid. My 75hp is right around 300lbs I think... I want to repower with a 150-175 Merc 2 stroke 20" shaft.

What is the max weight this transom can hold? Anyone with experience please let me know what happened when you repowered on a 20" transom.

Repowering due to a mini tower being installed.

Should handle the Mercury with no problem.
