Our buddy Loye (Futch13) hooked me up on a barn find bunch of antique outboards last week, the gentleman had 16 engines and I bought them all from 1930's-1980's. In the mix was an early-mid eighties 9.9 long shaft Evinrude, looks like a freshwater engine, missing the starter hub, tiller handle and low speed mixture knob. Turns over, clean engine. I have no use for it. Would make a good kicker engine if someone needs parts or get it running. The CDI pack and coils fits many 2 cylinder models plus the gearcase and longshaft extension are gold now. Free to how wants it, come get it. Let me know.

I want a life time pass to the museum when it's completed   :cheering2:

Well Fitz,
Now that I have recovered from the World Series (only sport I ever played in my youth) let me thank you for offering this classic to our members.
Not sure a 9.9 would push my pregnant guppy but hopefully a member will take you up on the offer.
I'd like to see the museum myself sometime. I prefer mechanical parts of a boat rather than the fiberglass/wood /composite parts. Maybe because I know so little about chemicals and more about metals.
Good luck. :thumright:
