Title: Blue Sea ACR install and wiring clean-up
Post by: vonkamp on June 13, 2015, 06:12:44 PM
Just finished up installing the ACR system. Blue Sea makes some quality stuff. Wiring replaced as well. Still looks like a mess but at least it's my mess...  :character0029:

those are one of the best things to happen to small boating in the last 10 years!  You do need to mount them in a place they will not be exposed to a lot of salt.  Last week on a far offshore trip on my friends boat, we lost radar them bottom machine, then GPS (80 miles out).  Turns out the ACR had corroded on the backside and crapped out - no charge to house batteries.  We bypassed the ACR and continued, but if it were not for the flat sea conditions, it would have been very difficult to get house system back up and running.
