Title: Rebuilt Engines?
Post by: Slo Poke 1 on November 11, 2014, 05:36:09 PM
Anyone deal with these guys?  What do you think of their product/prices?

They are in Connecticut and only warranty engines within a 200 mile radius. Anyone know of similar companies in west-central FL?  My Slo Poke has a rebuilt 1992/1999 Evinrude 70 that has been fine, although it has always been a bit temperamental to start that I bought in Sarasota.

There are some mixed reviews of the outfit on THT and others..  The consensus is that he does good work and offers warranty but is a curmudgeon.   A Google search will reveal all!  Good luck!

Franzen is good.  I'd also check with Chris Carson Marine.  http://www.chriscarsonmarine.com/ (http://www.chriscarsonmarine.com/) They travel around Florida picking up and dropping off powerheads and rebuilding them.
