Title: Dimentions of a 19-6 console and seat
Post by: aquaholic17 on April 08, 2014, 03:27:18 PM
Does anyone know the dimensions or have a diagram of the original console on a 19-6? the cooler seat would also be helpful. Width and height are the most important.

Thanks,
chad

so, nobody knows? Anyone have a 19-6 they could measure? I'm looking at a project '73 that is missing the console and seat. Well, it's missing everything. lol. I have a line on a few console's but need the dimensions to see if they will work.

Mine's up at the new house we're ever-so-slowly moving into, so its an hour away.  I'll gladly measure it this weekend when I get back up there.

Has anyone had a chance to measure your console yet?

I have a '75 cooler seat in stock from a 22-2 with flip flop backrest from Miss Delmarva which is the same as a 19-6 from '72-'77 if your vintage is similar for measurements.

I actually measured mine, and wrote all the measurements on a scrap of paper that I left in the boat.

I'm taking a mattress over to the new house this afternoon, so I'll try my darnedest to remember to grab said slip of paper.

That was close.(http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hand-gestures/phew-smiley-emoticon.gif) (http://www.sherv.net/)

For a moment I thought the dog had ate it.

Man, you have no idea how true that would be if I said it.  We have brother and sister lab/hound mixes and the male weighs about 100lbs and eats anything he can scarf down...literally ANYTHING.

As a result, he's had surgery once to remove an obstruction (biiiiig clump of cuttings from the bushog...like size of a basketball) and barium swallows 3 other times to illuminate the various fun things he ate, plus numerous vet visits to poke and prod and make him poop...which, aside from the time he ate 10lbs of grass, have all passed without assistance (AA batteries, a cell phone charger, complete with 2' of wire, more of my ball caps that I can count, rocks, LOVEs barnacles...pulls those off of the bottom of our barge like he's at a rusty seafood buffet...etc. etc., so on and so forth).

That said, no...this time it was just me being in a hurry and forgetting to grab that paper when I left Sunday evening.

The original sliding fiberglass cooler seat sitting on the track is slightly trapazoidal in shape so I'm giving you the sizes at the bottom footprint. 16 1/2 front to back, 35 1/2 left to right and 16 1/2 from the floor to the top of the lid including about 1/2 for the track for overall height.

Once had a girlfriend like that. No batteries or anything, but man that girl could eat.

Thank you much fitz, that is very helpful. Now all I need is the console dimensions. Now, as long as the dog doesn't eat anymore paper.....lol

I have an 1986 200 osprey console original and a 1972 22-2 original if that would help you. The osprey and the 19-6 are the same hulls but different liners. I think they are the same console however.

Thank you. That is what I needed. I was hoping to hear different, but it is what I thought. I have access to 3 console's and 2 leaning post's real cheap through a friend. the smallest one is 46" wide. guess I will have to think this through some more.

Thank you all for the help,
chad
