This is my first post, I just picked up a hull that has already had the transom done, and stringers, but I'm afraid the foam is wet and I want to switch from foam to corecell like I've seen on here, other than that it's in ok shape and I'm ready to get to work..
My first question/problem is what is the best way to get the hull off the trailer and level for me to start working??? Bricks is what I was thinking.
Also not sure how to load images..?

First of all, Welcome!
Second, start here for posting pictures: http://www.classicaquasport.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=111.
Third, don't use bricks directly on the hull, at least put some wood in between the hull and the bricks. Make sure you support it all along the chine and the keel. Make sure you don't induce a hook or rocker in the bottom of the hull.

Welcome!
Is it necessary to get it off the trailer? You could leave it on the trailer and use some foam or bracing to give it more support.
-
Some people get them off the trailer and low to the ground so they aren't climbing in all the time.

Good point. I took the wheels off my trailer so that it isn't so high, but it could certainly be lower.

I'm using someone else's trailer, I can use it anytime, but it will be better in a stationary place where I can work on it anyways. I'll get a trailer when I find a good deal, much like the engine, rigging and etc.
I think ill jack her up with a heavy duty truck lift, put wood with bricks like I've seen in a few of the rebuilds, and slowly pull it off trailer. I just wasn't sure if I was supposed to make it level some how.
I will post pictures tmrw when I figure it out how. Also I will pretty much figure out the run down on what needs to happen first.
Thank you

Welcome!
Go with big foam blocks, and keep the bow up so she drains.

Level side to side will help and like gran said bow up a little so she will drain :thumright: Just make her steady enough to be climbing in and out of without her wobbling :shaking: Closer to the ground works as long as your not planning on doing any work under her(not flipping her) I used 6x6s and 4x4 blocking and had some angled pieces cut to fit the hull bottom like wedges, supported center stern and outer edges and 2 spots on down then hull to the bow which was supported with blocked up 6x6s and angled wedges....she didn't move a bit  Glad your aboard and look forward to your rebuild.. :thumright:

Where would some buy the foam blocks? I live in the tarpon springs/palm harbor area.
Thank you

Visit the local marinas and ask about old removed foam blocks they take out from floating docks or check with any local dock builders for used foam blocks :thumright: Should be able to get them cheap if not for free :thumright:
