We had an older guy several years ago in our neighborhood who stood behind trees in other folks yards at night. They caught the perv.
Ya'll check this out....

It's 300 bucks, and includes a video cam.
Should these be legal?
Gives new meaning to "the girl next door"...
-
They better be quicker on the controls than some #3 bird shot  looks like a heck of a target...
-
Why should they be illegal? This has been going on for years. I put a camera on my RC Helicopter in 1999 and used it to take pictures all the time. Just more advanced now.
-
Man the trouble I could have gotten into back in the day with one of those babies!
-
I wouldn't want my neighbors to see from the air what goes on in my back yard with privacy fence. Not that anything actually goes on...well, maybe in the grotto  but the idea of a miniature drone with video camera hovering over my house is discomforting.
Reckon the big drones with missiles are discomforting too

That very idea sparked debate at the office.. So what happens when I am maneuvering the ship at a scene call and the local TV crew has one of them airbourne and we hit it cause it doesn't have a transponder, is not high vis etc... FAA's still gonna hang me for not "seeing and avoiding" but we will still be AFU...
#3? How 'but 6 over 2 and a rig that will send an EMP to the control unit to smoke the operator...
So a question for our LEO Brethren... If one of those things is over your property and you wax it, the gizmo costs say $500.. Are you in trouble as long as you have not discharged a firearm illegally?

It's a big deal in the RC world:

In Mass. you can't discharge a firearm within 500 feet of an occupied dwelling so this should do the trick:

I've gotten pretty good at nailing Carpenter Bees with my trusty Daisy 840, so this shouldn't be a problem with a little practice.

My grandson has a remote helicopter that we fly in the house. They are fun to play with. You can get a heli with the video also. They are cheap to buy the inexpensive ones (25.00), but like anything else there are the high price versions. The mini heli are very light and don't do well outside if there is any breeze, so they are a inside toy. Still fun to play with.
You better hope the homeowners assoc. people don't get one if you live in a sub division. They might not like what they see.

Curious, that is a nice unit. Like the silencer

What’s interesting is, that 98% of American’s only know what 10% of the govs. real capability is. The only reason why the other 2% knows is, they worked on most of it. And what you see now, is the old stuff. What's great for me is. I don’t live in a gun free zone. I live in a gun own zone and can stand on my back porch and shoot at them dam things. :thumleft:

That would be a new case to be debated I'm sure. My guess is you might own the ground your house is on but not the air above it. Just like you can't own the water in your back yard if your house is waterfront. Different states might have different rules.
-
Certainly interesting.
A man's home is his castle. And invasion of privacy is just that. Most states have "Peeping Tom" laws in place. Whether one voyeurs in person or via electronics, etc....the law is clear.

I live by a very simple rule. Don’t do or say anything out side your home, that you would have a problem, with people knowing. :thumright:

A buddy of mine has a 4-rotor drone. He has already installed a HD camera in place of the original camera. He added some old RC model electronics to it and now he can fire 4 hobby rockets. You have to be quick on the stick or a rocket launch flips it and it can't recover. He has learned to tilt it just before launch to keep from crashing, most of the time.

When I was looking at youtube videos taken by hobby-type drones, there were vids of scale model jets. SR 71's, stealth bombers, all kinds of attack fighters....some of them were rigged to drop miniature bombs.
Ya'll check it out, its pretty wild. And money, wow, that's a hobby it seems could run into real money real quick

Scotty, my buddy flies a RC helicopter. He also has a inducted, like a turbine F18 model.
I think you could purchase a new car for what he has in those.
He has a funny saying, "no pockets on the coffin"
