Title: took a friend fishing today
Post by: John Jones on June 08, 2006, 09:58:42 PM
One of my fishing buddies and his cousin.  She is the only one that got bit but she got bit big     Approximately 110# tarpon.  Landed in 24 minutes and released to grow up.  Sorry for the crappy picture of the fish

Only got a tail shot.  Damn digital cameras and their lag.

Those are great pictures John!  Bet her arms were tired after that bit of exercise.

Nice to see some real live fishing action now & again.  That's what these boats are for.  Please keep the pictures coming.

Her arms were shaking but she is hooked.  I enjoyed the day even though I did not a bite myself.  It's fun just to hook others up, especially on something like a 'poon that most don't get the opportunity.  This will wind down the pass/inlet fishing for the season.  It's time for them to go offshore to spawn.  They will come back in a few weeks but then they scatter all over the bays and rivers instead of being in schools.  Still catchable but more work and hotterNhell in July and August.

I'll just throw in a couple of my older fishing pics for your enjoyment

Great pics John Jones!  The sheer number of fish you guys can possilby catch down that way is astounding.

I know I love the pictures, keep them coming.  I'm sure as I get mine developed and get a digicam, I'll have more all the time.
