Coosa Bluewater is the ultimate transom material.

No substitute.

Shop around...but don't expect much variation in price. It is what it is

I love coosa, it is so easy to work with. I bought it from composites one, they have a warehouse in Valdosta, ga , where I work. It is a little over 200$ per sheet for 26lb 3/4  4x8. I had to set up an account with composites one, like a business account, but they did not ask for a business license or anything, so you could just call it, " Best boat repair" or something like that. I think they are selling to me at whole sale, of course I think the more you buy, the cheaper it is.  And I am pretty sure the 26lb is the "bluewater" The boat builders like Sundance, that build "no wood" boats, use coosa. Sundance buys from the warehouse that I do. As far as comparable products, I could not find any. It is basically very dense foam with woven roving glass strands embeded in the foam. It is completely impervious to water, because the foam is dense.
