OK, I have done many changes and upgrades to my Osprey.
I have also removed the "Y" valve system for the raw water and bait tank.
Each system now is a separate 1/4 turn thru hull with a pump.
I have had a complete rewire (couple years ago) so, my transom access hatch has a clean area.
I want to install a dual battery charger, (like Guest 2611A Charge Pro Series Marine Battery Charger) 117.00 free ship at Amazon.
After the rewire, I changed out the batteries to the 27 series size (I think).
A little larger set of batteries than I did have.
Anyway, what is a good brand and choice??
The boat sits in the water April thru Nov here in CA.
I think it would be a good idea to keep the batteries charged up,
What do the forum say??
Thanks as always
Bryan

I'm sure there are others that members are using.
Good luck

Thanks for the post and the links, makes it easy.
Pete, the Guest is "on sale" and free shipping at Amazon.
I have bought from Star Marine, they are a good Co.
I would also assume they are about the same as far as quality.
Being I usually use Amazon for quick buys, I may just go with the Guest.

If you are going to use an ACR or VSR the dual battery charging leads should be on the same profile.
Meaning, you put them in parallel to one battery and let the ACR/VSR charge both.
I believe the one you picked is cool. I have a Guest 10 amp dual bank too and it works as I described.

Probably to late but if you did not get the charger yet its worth looking into a Noco Genius charger. I bought one last year after my guest crapped out after 14 months. Noco is a great charger carries a 3 year warranty is made in the USA and the support is great and they are the only ones that make 10 amp single bank chargers. Their multi bank chargers are also 10 amp per bank.

Yes, a little too late but still appreciated none the less.
I did the Guest dual battery charger for about 100 bucks it should be ok for a bit.

I recommend the Dual Pro. I went thru 3 Guest 3 bank chargers in 3 years. They were overcharging my Odyssey batteries and ruined 2 of them.

Did you contact Guest? Were your Odyssey's gel cell? Gels need lower voltage charging rates versus lead-acid or AGM. Sounds like you didn't have the settings correct, gel versus lead/AGM...

Yes, good point Bob.
My friend had a Guest, he had an issue, pretty much submerged the unit down in his bilge.
Well, he sent it in and they sent a new one to him, not bad at all

Hey Seabob,
They are Odyssey AGM batteries. I contacted Odyssey and the Guest charger output was not enough to fully charge the batteries. Over time the batteries would never get a full charge and "give up"..
Here is their recommended chargers;

I went with this charger for 4 batteries and doubled up on the house battery.

Here is a pic of the batteries. Since this picture I have added the BEP cluster to control everything.
