Title: Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic for tank install
Post by: Curious on February 16, 2013, 03:31:54 PM
Is this the stuff I need to do the Pascoe install method for a gas tank?

Does anyone know where else I can get it either online or in MA or RI?
Thanks, Dan

Dan,
FRP (as it is called in the industry), is simply...glass.  The "plastic" is the resin, the glass reinforces it.

All you'll need are some fiberglass strips 1/2 inch tall minimum and 2 inches wide or so.

Any fiberglass house should have them....and doesn't have to be boat related....fiberglass showers, sinks, industrial suppliers etc.

Oh, cool.  I thought it was a specialty product.  What department are they in at Home Depot?
Thanks
