I've known Terry for 20 years. Very technically competent; but like a lot of these guys, the business side is a little lacking. Plan on 2X-3X  the leadtime he quotes you.

So what kind of work is he planning on having done? Terry does lots of Merc rebuilds. Is he going to ship the powerhead or bring the whole rig up here? I can hit Terry's shop with a rock from my office door.

New update on Powerhouse Marine...

For Seagate and anyone else; the company was sold in the last 2 weeks, to a father and son team. Terry, the former owner will be working there part time. Depending on the new owners business model, this may be  good thing. I just found this out last night so I'll try to get more information in the near future. I've always been apprehensive about recommending an engine builder even one I've known for 20 years because of the lousy customer service and BS, but his engine builds have been good.

We picked up the long block last tuesday Terry said he did the work that made us feel better. Now we are working on the rest   of this project it will most likely take a couple weeks to get rest of parts needed and of course cash to pay for them.
Once again thanks Fitz for updates.
