I have a 1986 "25" foot ccp profesional with a twin B-BRACKET. The bracket currently has 1993 175hp MERCURYS on it and i want to put a single 300hp SUZUKI on it. Is it posible to put a sigle outbord on a twin bracket? If anyone has done this or have any information i would greatly apprecite it. THAKS!

You could propably mount the single 300 in the center of your mount, but you will still have a big bracket on the back, exactly where it's not needed. For the $$$ you are investing in a Zuki 300, you may want to go with a single motor bracket, or even consider a hydraulic jack plate. This would clean up the back of the boat and leave more room for fighting fish, a swim platform, or whatever.
Bob's Machine is now selling a hydraulic jack plate that will work with a 300 hp - you can check it out at: http://www.bobsmachine.com/ (http://www.bobsmachine.com/)
Let's go fishin' and good luck!

A fishing buddy of mine has a Grady-White 24 Offshore which I think came with a bracket. It is drilled for twins and looks like it had them at one time. It had an OceanRunner 200 when he bought it and he repowered with a single Yammie F-225. It does okay but it could use a 300. It never really gets on plane under 5000 rpm. The type bracket he has does provide extra floatation but it is still a ton of weight. I would consider replacing with a smaller bracket if it fits the budget. Remember, you need the 30" bracket to allow the outboard to tilt fully up with a closed transom.
Something like this is what I would get if I ever close my transom. Despite the company name, these are aluminum.
For you inboard guys, they carry a bunch of inboard stuff like risers, etc.
