Alrighty, we are set to go with our block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Southport!

It is 5 minutes from the ramp, 10 minutes from Par-tay Central

http://hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels ... index.html

The rooms are reserved under "Classic Aquasport Reunion". The quoted rate is $94.00 per night, however, I'm planning on negotiating that further. The more reservations we have the better :thumright:

Phone 910-454-0016

See ya there!!    :salut:

If anyone has one of these, please bring it. It is a Go-Pro Troll Pro. It takes your Go-Pro down to the lair of the bigguns.

Lew, please ask Bridget to buy for your birthday, or better yet, please call the company and ax them if we can field test seven units on behalf of 3200 member strong Classic Aquasport :salut:    :flower:  :thumright:

Thanks!!

Just noticed they have the downrigger rigged with mono. Fish-on from another boat running hard cuts across the mono....will slice it every time. Bye-bye Go-Pro.

Scotty, I believe there is a DIY post on THT website?
If I remember correctly, they made them out of ABS pipe and painted them with a plastic paint?
They added a weight to keep her steady
I dont know how to link it here but it is under dyi troll pro
II can bring my GoPro if needed too.

Thanks Bryan, if you would like to bring it that would be great, know we'll all enjoy the action videos

Don't think we'll be dropping pricey electronics 50 feet down though

Hi guys...getting closer

We have more boats this year....so got to thinking about secure storage.

You guys may remember the first year we needed a trailer part....so we stopped at the boat/trailer place on the right going in. It is about ten minutes from the house.

Found out later the owner also had a fiberglass shop, and makes parts...dockboxes, consoles, etc. So the inset footrest on Miss D came from him. We did a little horsetrading on that, so we became friends.

Anyway...just called and asked him about storage there for our boats. He said no problem, bring as many as we want....for FREE. Access any time of the day or night.

So good deal....all Classic Aquasport members are welcome :salut:

See ya then

Now this is some good news! We did have a little trouble getting the boat in and out of the hotel parking lot last year. I'm sure this will make a huge difference. Good work Scott!  :batman:
