Transom Degrees
« on: May 11, 2011, 01:52:40 PM »
Hello, new to this site so thankful I found it! I have a 1986 25ccp or 245 open-fisherman not sure what yr that changed. I am rebuilding the whole boat inside out I am in the process of rebuilding the transom. Wanted to know if anyone knows what degrees is it that I have to know or have to build an engine bracket? Everyone that I have talked to regarding a used bracket keeps asking me the degree I need  and truthfully not sure?! Please help! Thanks

Omar,
First, welcome aboard  :salut: You will find just about everything you need to know, and some stuff you don't   here on the forum.

The bracket has to be the same angle as the transom (as looking at it from the side of the boat) Very easy to do, get your straight edge and a builder's square, and print this page out. http://www.rocketflap.com/transom_calc.php  :thumright:

Welcome aboard Omar. :salut:

If it's a 86, then it would be a 250 CCP.

And as usual.....
