Console panel shorts out

Looking for help, Electrical issue.

All helm switches will not work. I had power at first. Radio turned on, nav light on, horn ok, turn on a third switch and everything goes dead.... a few minutes later I can turn on the sw radio , nav light and third swithch will blow everything and all shuts down...
cleaned grounds to battery ,and ground bus.
 SW Radio came on, nav light on, turn on cabin lights, everything goes dead again.

Help in sorting this out please

get a good multi-meter and start checking the resistance, continuity, etc. in the wiring. Be sure to have something to rig up extension cables for the meter too.
