I would guess they drain the forward compartments, allowing water to flow under the tank coffin.

Look at the pics.

I figured as much , they myst be clogged or blocked . I habe a few holes around the bow i need to plug and even after vacuuming those tubes out .  I go to the bow open the storage hatch open the access cap and there was still about 4 gallons of water i vacuumed out from the front under the floor

If the boat is on a trailer, You will need to get it extra high in front to drain completely. The drains do get plugged over the years by all manner of debris.

Good luck. :thumright:

Yeah stays on a trailer , my driveway unfortunatly has such an incline lol i have like 3 6x6 chunks under the jack ( not too safe i know ) but awesome thank u for getting back to me . Im gonna try and stick something firm with slight bend to it through and see how far i make it . Maybe try blowing air in with my compressor

Hey welcome aboard Stream. If you are referring to a drain hole forward of the back side of the casting deck on the starboard of your 170, it's usually a drain from the center compartment in the casting deck. Look in the compartments and see which has a drain hole in it. Pour some water in that and see if it comes out the side. If it doesn't come out, you may have to cut an access panel into the face of the casting deck and look in to find if the hose has become disconnected from the thru-hull fitting.
