You ever change out the gasket and filter/screen in the VST on an HPDI?  The service manual says nothing about removing the whole damn assy off the powerhead to get them apart...POS!!!

havent messed with any hpdi's, i think we only have 4 in the marina and 3 of them are on a 36 contender! most everyone has 4-strokes... i am pretty familiar with 250/275 vrod's... crank case oil leaks... removal of the power-head... multiple times...   oh and that shift recall, where you gotta lift the powerhead to change it, what fun! :puker:

Shift actuator?  Gees, Suzuki had issues with them on 300s.  But they were a pretty easy swap...

The eagle has landed, nice bird's nest you got there Aaron.  Best part about having the mess cleaned up will be the space you'll gain.

Hey Aaron, when SB finishes with your craft you should head west to the Bayport ramp and get some scallops.

Blue,
Scallop season still open?

Anyway, she's starting to come together.  Have to admit, haven't seen an OMC harness that butchered up before....

Bus bars will go in the center section of that flat.

So, Aaron, what about a compass in that hole that was made...for a compass?

Nice work SB, no more bird's nest.  Scallops are open till Sept. 25th I believe, tasty little burgers.  Only had the opportunity to do one trip this year, but I always hit the ramp in your neck of the woods...Bayport ramp.  Fuel up at the Race Trac just east of 19, then just head west.

Stick that b!tch in between 2 pieces of electronics...N became S, right side up became upside down...Just had is laying around, but it goes back in the parts bin!

Blue, that RaceTrac is where I get my gas.  Hey, hasn't let me down yet!  Haven't been out to Bayport in a while, just down in Hernando Beach and Aripeka...

How's the scallop population doing in Tampa Bay?

SB,
The scallop population in Tampa Bay?  I have no clue.  I do know that they do have an outfit that once a year seeks volunteers to search the bay for scallops, not my cup of tea because I like to eat them and we can't harvest them here in Tampa.  Maybe someone else can let us know if the yearly searches have been successful.

How about it Aaron, some scalloping when you go to pick up your vessel from SB?  Bob how far is the Bayport ramp from your place?

We're about 3 miles east of 19, 2 miles north of 50, so I figure about 10 miles tops.  Oops, just mapquested it.  As the crow flies, 10 miles.  So figure 15 miles.

She's starting to look a little more like one of my consoles...

Maybe I'll get in and clean the floor a bit tomorrow...

And Aaron, due to the fact that I have some extra Bennett hose, your pump will now live in the port forward corner of the console... :D

Looks like the battery cables are long enough to get those batteries all the way forward in the console.  Aaron is going to be stoked, he'll even have room for storage.

Blue,
That's my plan, but he wants 2 group 27s in there, side by side might be a stretch...but we'll see.

Battery switch and main breaker are going to be mounted on the access door, t/bolted, makes for easy access.  I've done a number that way...

Open the door, turn the switch, close the door.  This one was on a 22 Pathfinder.  Now THAT boat was an effin mess!!!

Now that I like.  Never seen that before, but that is quite genius!  Thanks for the idea, I'm going to use that one in the future.
