Maybe try a local fiberglass/gelcoat repair guy?  They have to try to match stuff every day.

To be honest with you since the boat is 23 years I can't expect a factory match actually being perfect.  I wouldn't mind something that is just close.  I'm only dealing with some spider cracks and a few chips.

I was thinking it would be hard to match. So for a qt they will match it? Pricey tho. Being it's polyester based, it will start hardening the day it's made, with hardener applied or not.

Actually Rick, I called them last fall and they stopped carrying a lot of the older color repair kits.  I would have been fine with getting one or two of these cause I don't need much, but they are just not out there for the 99-04 white.  My only options with them are a quart or a gallon.

Looks like they sell repair kits for $53.

I have some chips, cracks and drill holes in my 2001 215s gel coat and was wondering if it was worth it to Pay $252 for a quart of Spectrum Color's gel coat?

Flatback 22-2 Rebuilds / Re: 1970 Flatback 222 - Barn find Revival

Wow, that's a lot of progress and some good clean work  :salut2:

Yeah working in the heat in FL is tough - I almost passed out many times from the heat over the years during the rebuild.  This worked for me and I went through a bunch of them - A BIG tarp overhead about 5 ft above you, that allows you to extend the sides out about 10-15 ft and propped up with tent poles. This allows the air to cool that wafts through before it reaches you.  A big floor fan is also a must.

Well there goes another year and some. I guess as I get older, summers are too much to bare in Florida when working in the heat. Fall and Winter were fairly productive. Got all the foam removed (Winter of 2023), pressure washed a few times, transom gutted out (winter 2024) , everything grinded down for the most part, and center stringer removed.

Photo Dump from progress since last post ! haha...
