The electrical problems in my center console are getting to be too annoying - I need to completely rewire the whole thing as well as fix or replace some gauges, lights, the grabrail, drink holders, switches, controls, etc. I was going to wait until next winter and rebuild it, but now I'm thinking I don't want to suffer through another summer of crap not working right.
I'd like to get a replacement center console and prewire it, install the electronics, and mount the new controls without taking my current boat out of commission except for a real short time when I swap the old out for the new.
Anyway, the question is, where can I find a good new center console?

Marine Surplus near the Sarasota airport has quite a few. Some are leftovers, some have small dings.

Try Stapleton boats in Miami, ask for Raleigh Stapleton. They make a pretty nice console, it's about the right size and has the vertical gauge risers along the forward edge. You really have to watch out on new consoles. So many of them are huge because so many new boats have an 8'6" beam these days.
