As any one used these before?  Are they all that they are cracked up to be?

I was up at friendship road last week looking at those. It seems like a good idea. Break it and replace just the blade or change to a different pitch. The price is right too! No hands on though.

I have used one on my 16' skiff.  It is powered by a 40 hp with a jackplate.  The props work ok.  That being said...they have a lot of cupping to them and they are four blade.  So they hold the water very well when running high on the jackplate.  All that cupping makes it a pain to back up with.  They are kind of fragile...  I have broken the tips of blades off before, well I have haven't my friend did trying to help me put the boat on the trailer.  But I have run the boat up from a full plane into ankle deep sand bar (it was dark and my light broke) and there was no damage done to the blades.  I plan to get one for my 170 sooner or later just as a cheap good performing prop.

My son has one on a Mitzi Skiff with a 45 Honda.  It does a great job for him.  I think he has replaced 1 blade in 3 years.  An oyster bar near St. Augustine got that one.  I personally would be afraid of one on large motor sizes but that's just me.

Tried out the pro pulse on the CCP and was impressed yet unimpressed.  The ease of installation and pitch adjustment is great, but the performance is not there.  It could still be my tired ole engine, but i adjusted down to 15 pitch and had a hell of a hole shot but top end was down 25%+ and the rpm's came up to 4400 WOT, which is almost 1k lower than it should be.  Adjusted the pitch back up to 19 as it was on my 3 blade, terrible hole shot, top end was still 25% down and the rpms where still 4200.  Does anyone have any insight into what there are getting out of there 200ccp's with a 175 or 200 far as hole shot and top end?  What is the key to adjusting the timing without a prop testing wheel?  Any suggestions to sync the carbs.  I have the orginal manual that is very detailed, but it suggest only adjusted the timing with a test wheel in order to load the motor as if it where in the water,  Thanks for the input.
