I like the idea. Same as our new trailer forum. Rickk, our appreciated administrator, hopefully will offer his thoughts.

Thanks, and good thinking....... :)

I sent a message to the "Captain", the site administrator, about a new photogallery. I have the info to install a new photogallery for the website. I have a set up a test site on my server. It is at
http://www.orbconstruction.com/copper/index.php
I will eventually delete the photogallery on this site, so if you post any pics on there they will be deleted. I just set it up to test it to make sure it works correctly and is a well built gallery. You can register on it if you want, but it will not up for too long, as I hope we will have a new one on classicaquasport.com.

This site
http://www.orbconstruction.com/copper/index.php
is not a replacement for the photogallery on classicaquasport.com. It is just a test. I do not want anyone to get the wrong idea.

Hopefully we will have a new photogallery on classicaquasport.com soon.

Keep up the good work. Would be a pleasure to enjoy a new pic forum, and as you say, without disturbing the existing library.

Rickk, what is your thinking here, thanks.

I too have tried to get in touch with the Captain. All of his recent posts have been deleted. Hope everything's okay.

We have had about 6 different people working on the photo gallery issue to no avail.

Another IT person contacted me the other day, after orbs email to the Captain, asking if he could help figure it out. So that should tell us that the Captain is ok.

There have been several suggestons by the other "attemptees" to scrap the existing gallery - delete it and move all the pics into some other engine but then we would corrupt all the links to pics in the older posts.  A lot of the attraction to ClassicAquasport is the depth of knowledge available and a lot of that exists in the form of documented rebuilds based on pics in the photo gallery. So we must be very careful to not corrupt anything there. (I know you all thought it was YOU that attracted new members   )

This new approach that orb is offering could be a work-around - not deleting the current photo gallery but adding a link to a "New photo gallery".  Good thinking orb.

We'll see what comes out of the query from the IT guy - maybe he can fix the old - that would be the best.

"Captain" had a guy from his office call me yesterday about possibly getting access to the sites files via ftp (file transfer protocol) so I can download a copy of the site and try to fix, upgrade of whatever to the site. I will host the copy of the site on my server, and make changes, then we can go to the test site on my server and look at changes and see if everyone is happy with the changes. Hopefully something will happen soon.
