Potential boat project
« on: September 11, 2005, 09:53:54 PM »
I am considering purchasing a project boat that is in the restoration stages already. Anybody know anything about a 22' Hydrostep? It has the stepped hull, not a flatback but not much vee and the owner has already rebuilt and closed the transom. He has the deck boards cut out and needs to be glassed in. He is selling it with a new console, backrest, various hatches, and a roll of glass. I would have to build a cap, and I'm not sure how that will turn out. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Robert

I've got my cap off my boat right now - so it would be possible to make a mold off my cap and build a new one for your boat.  Haven't done that before but it can be done. We're both in SH. I sent you a PM. Give me a call!

I talked to Tommy this morning. I'm goin down there tomorrow and take a look around. Need some ideas of the best way to install the fuel tank. I'll ask about the cap for your boat, Rob.  Thanks CFB!
