Gunnel cap

Hey guys. I'm taking my gunnel cap to lay glass all along the underside  to reinforce and fill all the holes from years of things being attached, on my 74 19.6. So my question is any good ideas on how to keep the shape of the the bow rise. I'm going to flip it over so the ride will then be a drop looking for a good way to do this. I would be upset to do all that grinding and flashing and have it not fit right afterwords

You know that the bow is higher than the transom in a sweeping fashion, so if you attach a string "line" to the front of the cap and the back of the cap you see the "sheer line" (if the console is out).
If you raise the line on the transom end, via a 1x2 or someway, a foot then you can start getting measurements.
Once you have the measurement you can draw out (very important for later) the depths from the line and then build supports to keep the sheer in the right sweep.

I'm at this step also. Can't decide if I'm going to leave it on until I get the bulkheads in or go ahead and start working on it. Haven't quite figured how to brace mine either...
