Aquasport 290 TM ride
« on: July 15, 2006, 05:23:37 PM »
I am going to look  at a 1987 29' tournament master next week and wonder about the sea keeping ability of the boat. Powerboat Guide notes it a hard ride in a chop. How about 3 to 4 foot seas? In a chop will it be a wet ride or reasonably dry, given front windshield and eisen glass in place.  The guide also indicates cruise at 25 knots with the 350s. What is a realistic cruise with full fuel, 4 fishing person, 100 lbs of ice, and 500 lbs of other stuff? Can I at least get 22kts?  Any weak areas i should look for, such as on the Tiara the fuel tanks are suspect on the older boats. Thanks, Ray
