Title: throttle cable length
Post by: scoflaw on January 22, 2017, 10:23:46 AM
Trying to replace my throttle cable on a 82   20'ccp.  94 Yamaha 2 stroke with yamy binnacle. Heard the length is marked on the cable. Anyone know where?

Would be on the jacket.  My 20 CCP had 16 foot cables before I disassembled her.

Is it on there more than once ? Engine side is all sun faded for a couple of feet and don't see it on the binnacle end. Looks to be a real PITA to replace with those sliding ends.

Do you know if that cable is measured hole to hole or is it casing length ?
