Help identifying 70’s hull

Long time listener, first time caller.  I have a chance to buy this hull, no title, old owner has had it since the 70’s.  I’m sure it needs top to bottom.  I will have $800 in it when I get the title straitened out.  They claim it is 21’ ish, I have not put a tape on it.  Is it a nice hull, sought after?

i'm no expert but I believe the 70's aquasports had lifting strakes in the hull, your pic doesn't. Could be an older 60's model, or a Proline.

I saw the ad. It’s a 19.1 Gull model from 1968-1971. Should have a console that’s directly mounted to the casting deck, no lifting strakes and the slightest little step vee almost unnoticeable at the transom.

If it is a 191, looking at the aft, specifically the bottom of the transom, will help us ID it.

looks like yours still has the original console too. On mine, the plywood shelf in the console had the word Gull hand written on the wood before they glassed it, but no paint, could still read it pretty clearly.

Sure looks identical, I believe you are correct.  I am looking for next winters project.  Looking for a shallow back water boat for the lower keys.  How do you like yours?

Thats the only hull Aquasport made that had strakes that ran out the aft about a foot on either side of the main drain. Definitely a 191. and it appears to be the Gull model.

I'm happy with mine, check out my gallery under Dbiscayne theres a few more pics of it. Best part about the boat is it's light and easy to deal with towing and at the ramp. But not a lot of storage unless you get creative. I also moved my fuel tank to under the deck to free up the console but thats a pretty big project. If you fish out of the back of the boat, anchored up, its great.
I started reconfiguring mine to move the console a little further back but still slightly forward of where the Osprey model is set, and replacing the console with a traditional narrower console with a seat in front of it.

Well it looks like you have intimate knowledge of this hull.  Did you replace the foam in the stringers?  The work doesn’t scare me.  I am concerned with trying to title the boat.  It has never been titled in FL and was purchased 30+ years ago out of state.  I don’t think there is a hull number on the boat either.  Does yours have a vin plate from the factory?

I have a title for mine, actually bought it from the original owner down in south florida not sure what the rules were for titles back in 1971?
Don't remember what the numbers on the boat look like right now but will try to check later.
I did replace the foam in the stringers. Cut the top of the stringers off completely using a sawzall along the sides of the stringers just below the top. If I were to do it again I'd try and cut from the top, but that crusty filler they used to bond the deck to the stringers was nasty and a lot easier to get rid of cutting like I did vs trying to chip it off. Used the sawzall on a very slow speed to cut the old foam into manageable pieces then pried out with a trenching shovel. Getting the stringer height correct when re-glassing was difficult. Used 2 lb foam in the inner stringers and 4 lb foam in the outer stringers.
There is one spot in the stringers you should make better than the factory did, the inner stringer side walls don't run continuously to the front of the boat theres a gap at the forward bulkhead. When filled with solid foam it's probably OK, but much better if you add the glass to the sides so its continuous.
The new fiberglass in the attached pics is where I'm talking about.
