115 johnson chaging problems

I have a rebuilt 78 johnson 115 but it never seams to charg the battery during use.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like the stator - you could try testing that.  I think I saw a procedure to test it on the marinedoctors site here.

Battery any good?  Wire terminals clean?
