2nd Annual Aquasport Get-together
« on: March 19, 2007, 05:31:47 AM »
Well, time flies and all of a sudden it's closing in on that time again - Time to bring our Aquasport brethren together for another great get-together.
We've chosen the dates early in the year this time so people don't have all the kids sports and such to worry about.
This time we're going to try our luck with a fishing challenge (Jim - Captflatback - says the fishing should be great during that time) and whatever else we can come up with.

We'll shoot for the same general area as last year - shell beach or close to it. Joel, you mentioned last year that you knew of a place where we could hold the get together where people could drive in?

Spread the word. Maybe we can come up with a flier that won't scare the "not so classic" members away - this is for ALL Aquasport owners and will be fun.  Shooting for 5+ boats this year.

I'll start it off by going down the middle - the 5th.
We'll probably camp out the night before, so we can be there nice and early to reserve some beach area. There will be at least 2 boats of us camping - if you want to camp in your boat along with us bring it on down.

I will not be available 4/28.
I voted for 5/5.
I will be really busy the week of 5/12 but could probably make that especially to get some tarpon tips from captainflatback

I live close enough that I will not be camping.  I would have to hog tie the wife to get her to sleep on the beach.

I doubt I can make it.  I'll have a new addition to my army (wife's expecting any day now) and probably won't be able to get away by myself and 2 months old may be too young to bring out on the boat.

Maybe next year.

If you can stop by, even if by land, we'd like to meet you.  PM me and I'll give you my cell # and I'll come pick you up at the dock, if necessary.

4 votes as of now - Is it us 4 again?    Bump

Ok, what do we have to do, bring the Hooters gals out to get more attendance and have them hand out free rods and reels, t-shirts, coolers, gas gift-certificates - I know it wouldn't hurt but....
Come on guys, spread the word and lets grow this family!!  Big families like BIG Get-togethers.

Settle on a day and I'll fly down if I can.  Long trip for a day at the beach but what the heck.  I'll crew for somebody... Maybe Miguel can be talked into making the trip.

Miguel, it's fair to say you've got the biggest project of us all!  Maybe next year...

Congratulations Scott :!:  :!:
With proper upbringing, we'll have another future Aquasport fan to keep the site going.  Hate to guess what he or she will have to shell out for a good AS project boat.

I am having to look at that all week...  It's the oldest son's wife.  Part-time model, ex-hooters girl.
She wants to go to the beach today

Yes, I'm a dirty old man.

If you're serious, plan on a crowd.  If the Mako guys see her they'll likely show up too.

This ought to be fun...
