2000 Johnson 90 harness routing in cowl
« on: June 03, 2020, 07:17:29 AM »
My engine was tripping a random no oil alarm with I tracked down to the shift linkage chafing through the wiring.  The harness enters the cowl at the main fitting and remains parallel with the shift cables where it was pinched between housing and shift linkage. Where is the harness supposed to be routed?  Should I drop down and follow the bottom of the cowling?

If I remember right that is what I had to do - follow the bottom of the cowl.

Once I get home I'll try it and let you know how it goes.
