1967 Crestliner Raider 18 rebuild

Well seeing how there is very little to no opportunity to find a classic Aquasport to rebuild “again” close to me I could not resist on the $75 price tag for a 1967 Crestliner Raider 18. Previous owner basically wanted to recover the price of a new trailer tire he recently bought lol. So far I cannot find anything online about this specific model, not even a picture. I did find a 1972 dealer trade in value chart for 1967 models that did give some info, ugh. Boat is a survivor, not beat up! Everything on this boat is solid except for seats and motor. Has original 2.5l Mercruiser 120hp Iron Duke. Does not run and been sitting since 2007.Have not gotten into if engine is worth saving yet. It’s like one of those YouTube videos “ she’s been sitting for 15 years! Can we get her to run again” love those videos. I have a 1992 120hp Johnson outboard sitting around and looking for a new home. My question to the forum is would it be a bad idea to convert this hull to outboard power? Or just look for another used Mercruiser if current one is dead? Not looking to make this my dreamboat. More or less looking to save another classic hull from the landfill and give somebody a decent deal on a boat while making a little cash. I see some of these 1960’s hulls completely restored and looking incredible but not really commanding the money for that kind of effort. Any and all opinions appreciated. Cheers Tom

Found this hilarious ad the other day!!
Good to know my Crestliner is built like an Aquasport with fiberglass stringers and no wood below the deck. Lol
Let the jokes begin!
Cheers Tom
