Casting Platform
« on: October 31, 2007, 07:31:25 PM »
For some reason I cant stand fishing anywhere but the very front of the boat or on top of the two hatches in the back of my boat(almost falling in on every trip).  My dad is gonna build a platform for the front of my 175 and he has a few ideas but i wanted to see if any of you guys had anything like that or have ever seen anything like it.  He was thinking of just raising the deck even with the sides from the fish box up and put storage in the middle for the anchor and storage for a battary on each side of that.  Any input is appreciated.  I will post some pics when its done if we decide to go ahead with it.

thanks

One thing I would suggest is that you wear a life jacket until  the project is completed. We fish off our casting deck all the time. Never encountered a problem with falling overboard.
